Taxis are a distinctive orange and white colour. There are no meters, so it is advisable to negotiate on a price before the trip. Oman National Transport Co. provides a fleet of buses as well as luxury coach operating all over the country. Dubai-Muscat busses operate daily and are leaving Dubai in intervals of 30 minutes at 4.30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., arriving at around 10 p.m. at the Al Sawadi junction, from where a pick up can be organized. An International driving license is valid, vehicles are driven on right side of the road and driving under the influence of alcohol is serious offence. Police must always be called in the event of an accident however slight. The road conditions are excellent and traffic system is clear and well defined. Off road driving can be hazardous and should be done with at least 2 vehicles suitably equipped in case of emergency. Speed limit on highways is 120 km/h. Domestic Air Services. Oman Aviation Services Co. operates its domestic airline Oman Air to provide service flights to Salalah, Khasab, Masirah and Sur.
