Salalah has an airport, mainly catering to domestic flights from Muscat and some regional cities such as Kuwait, Dubai, and Doha. Seasonly flights, some from as far away as Sweden, can be seen though during the Khareef season, the peak of the tourist season. Oman Air currently operates several daily flights to Salalah Airport from Muscat. There are no trains or trams, but Oman air links Muscat to Salalah, cutting down a day’s drive to an hour’s flight. Oman highways are of an excellent standard especially to road that take you to Salalah. If you are new to the roads, be aware that drivers on the inside lane have the priority over those entering the roundabout, so don’t be surprised if someone jumps from the inside lane to the exit, cutting you off in the process. The Salalah airports are handles limited international flights. Oman Air offers two or three daily flights from Muscat to Salalah. |
