Pavo Real is a lively Mexican hotspot that serves up fantastic margaritas and burritos, and Kargeen Caffé serves food inspired by Arabia in a jungle-type atmosphere. If all the great dining outlets leave you feeling like you’ve overindulged, you can burn it all off in Adam’s Gym.
Copacabana
One of the liveliest nightclubs in Muscat – especially if people-watching is high on your agenda. The music is an eclectic mix of the good, the bad and the ugly and features anything that hit the playlists in the last 15 years or so. The target clientele is mainly couples, but local males seem to dominate the dance floors. Service is friendly and efficient, with the staff dressed in frilly rhumba style outfits, wandering between giant fake palm trees and the long, well-stocked bar. Noisy but nice!
