Qurm is an area of residential and commercial buildings. This is also an area of PDO housing compound. The main options for accommodations are older villas and palatial mansions. Mainly the villas are set amidst in hilltops or undulating slopes. So it provides us great views of the beach or the city. AlQurm is one the most expensive areas in which to live. Rents are not cheap, but if you are in the right place at a right time you might find a good bargain.
Shatti Al Qurm is home to the Embassies and their staff. It is a highly desirable area situated near the beach and official offices. It is a miniature of luxury living with huge white villas.
It is a very recent development with the first houses not springing up until about the mid-80s. The common and unique feature to Shati is the ocean of white houses.
